The SC Fleet Manager bot enables Discord users to add and remove ships they own from a centralized database, making it accessible within any Discord server. Each user's fleet is linked to their unique Discord ID, allowing seamless access across different servers without the need to manage multiple data sets.
This functionality allows any Discord server to view a collective pool of ships owned by its members, either individually or as a whole. When a user retrieves their fleet or the server's fleet list, a JSON file is generated, which can be uploaded to services like Hangar.Link and Starship42 for fleet image generation.

SC Fleet Manager is a Discord bot that can allow orgs, friend groups, or individuals to have a way to house their current fleet for Star Citizen. It also allows you to export a JSON file that can be used in Hangar.Link or Starship42 to generate an image of your fleet. This can be done by pulling your own list of ships or the org's. The org command will pull all ships of everyone in the Discord.
Hangar Xplor is a great extension to use, however, it has one major drawback. This mainly applies to those who play the CCU game and sit on massive chains that end at a ship that is not yet released. This bot allows those people to save their actual end-goal ship as the ship in their hangar instead of whatever their current stop-gap ship is. An example of this is someone sitting on a Valkyrie with a CCU to a Galaxy but not wanting to apply the CCU yet since they already have the Carrack and don't need it as a loaner. This allows them to let their fleet reflect having the Galaxy.
The server on the backend runs every several hours checking Star Citizen for new ships. It may take anywhere from a few hours to a couple days for it to finally show up. Just depends on where you catch it in the cycle and how updated things are through the API.
I've had some instances where these two sites look for different versions of the ship name and have had to make changes to account for that. As of lately, they have both been pretty good about following the standard name that pulls from RSI. If however, you run into this issue please email me at info@Ratjack.net or join my Discord to get in contact.
